Axiomtek AIE110-ONX-8GB NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB Edge AI Developer Kit with PoE and HDMI 2.1

Teams that need more throughput than the Orin Nano but do not need the 16 GB memory tier often settle on the Orin NX 8GB. The AIE110-ONX-8GB fits the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB module to the Axiomtek AIE110-ONX edge AI developer kit, an enclosed, palm-sized unit for bench work and pilot installs.

The Orin NX 8GB delivers 70 TOPS from a 1024-core NVIDIA Ampere GPU with 32 Tensor Cores and a 6-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU, with 8 GB of 128-bit LPDDR5. That is enough for detection and tracking on a small number of camera streams. The AIE110-ONX-16GB moves to the 8-core Orin NX 16GB at 100 TOPS for larger models or more streams. The Orin NX has no eMMC, so the AIE110-ONX-8GB boots from an NVMe SSD in its M.2 Key M 2280 slot at PCIe x4.

The AIE110-ONX-8GB has one GbE port from the module and one Intel I210-IT GbE port that supplies IEEE 802.3af PoE at up to 15 W, so one IP camera can run from the unit. HDMI 2.1 with 4K support drives a local display, and one USB 3.2 Gen2 and one USB 2.0 port handle peripherals. An 8-channel programmable digital I/O header connects triggers and indicators, and a full-size Mini PCIe slot with a SIM slot accepts Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE or GPS modules.

Power is 12 V DC on a screw-type jack, cooling is an active heatsink and the operating range is -10 to +60 °C, with 3 Grms vibration and 50 G shock tested with an SSD fitted. Axiomtek lists JetPack 5.1.1 or later with Ubuntu 20.04 or later, and the front micro USB port and recovery switch allow reflashing without opening the AIE110-ONX-8GB. Allxon support adds remote monitoring and over-the-air updates for deployed units.
