Axiomtek AX92325-2GbE Dual Gigabit Ethernet PCIe Card with Industrial M12 Connectors

The AX92325-2GbE is the two-port build without PoE in the Axiomtek AX92325 series, a Gigabit Ethernet card with two M12 X-coded ports, each on an Intel i210-AT controller, and a PCI Express x4 interface. It suits vision and surveillance systems where cabling needs locking M12 connectors.

  • Two M12 X-Coded Ports: Two Gigabit ports on M12 X-coded connectors give a locking cable connection in place of RJ45.
  • Single-Slot M12 Design: Axiomtek’s patented connector layout keeps the M12 connectors from taking up the space of other slots.
  • Intel i210-AT Per Port: Each port has its own Intel i210-AT controller at 10/100/1000 Mbps, with 9.5KB jumbo frames.
  • IEEE 1588 Support: IEEE 1588 lets the card join networks where cameras and controllers share a common clock.
  • PCI Express x4: A PCIe x4 interface fits industrial PCs, ATX motherboards and embedded systems, as Axiomtek states.

AX92325-2GbE Overview

Cameras and devices on moving machinery can shake a standard RJ45 plug loose, so many vision builds need locking connectors. The AX92325-2GbE is the two-port build without PoE in the Axiomtek AX92325 series, a Gigabit Ethernet card with M12 X-coded connectors. Axiomtek designed the series for machine vision and surveillance systems, and we specify it for the industrial PCs we build.

The card carries two independent Gigabit ports on M12 X-coded connectors. Each port has its own Intel i210-AT controller running at 10/100/1000 Mbps, with 9.5KB jumbo frames and IEEE 1588. Axiomtek uses a patented connector design so the M12 connectors do not take up the space of other slots. The host interface is PCI Express x4.

This build carries data only, so cameras need their own supply. Axiomtek states the card integrates with its industrial PCs, ATX motherboards and embedded systems. For powered cameras on the same connectors, the AX92325-2PoE adds IEEE 802.3at PoE, and the AX92325-4GbE gives four M12 ports without PoE. Our article on why M12 connectors matter at the edge covers where locking connectors help.

Axiomtek’s power figures cover the PoE builds, so we confirm supply needs for this card when we specify it. The series operates from 0 to +60 °C with air flow and stores from -20 to +80 °C. The board measures 168 x 111 mm, and Axiomtek lists Windows 7 and 10 (32/64-bit) support. A 6-pin ATX to Molex 4-pin cable is available as an accessory. Humidity is rated at 10 to 95%, non-condensing, and air flow across the heat sink should be part of the enclosure plan.

Official Axiomtek UK Distributor

Things Embedded is an official Axiomtek UK distributor, supplying the AX92325-2GbE for UK machine vision and transport programmes. Within the Axiomtek range the AX92325-2PoE adds IEEE 802.3at PoE to the same two M12 ports, and the AX92322-2GbE offers two Gigabit ports on RJ45 connectors.

As a two-port M12 card the AX92325-2GbE sits among our PCIe network cards, our PCIe frame grabbers and our PCIe expansion cards. Where two Gigabit devices need locking M12 links and take power from elsewhere, this is the card to specify.
