Cincoze DI-1100-i3 Intel Whiskey Lake Core i3-8145UE Rugged Fanless PC with CMI Expansion and -40 to 70 °C

Vehicles, trackside cabinets and mobile machines need a computer that copes with cold starts, vibration and an unstable supply without a fan to fail. The Cincoze DI-1100-i3 is a rugged fanless PC in the DI-1100 series, and it pairs a 15 W Whiskey Lake processor with expansion modules that change its I/O without changing the chassis. The same system is offered with other processors as the DI-1100-i7 and the DI-1100-i5.

At its core the DI-1100-i3 uses the Intel Core i3-8145UE, with two cores and four threads at up to 3.9 GHz, which suits lighter control, gateway and HMI duties where the 15 W budget and a lower system cost matter more than peak throughput. One DDR4 SO-DIMM socket takes up to 32GB at 2400 MHz, and Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives three independent displays through HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA, with 4K on the digital outputs. Cincoze lists Windows 10 support, with Linux available by project.

Standard I/O covers two GbE ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 and two USB 2.0 ports, two RS-232/422/485 ports with 5 V or 12 V power, a PS/2 port and audio. A front-access 2.5-inch SATA bay and an mSATA socket support RAID 0 or 1, while two full-size mini PCIe sockets and two front SIM slots take Wi-Fi and 4G modules. Two CMI interfaces accept optional LAN, 2.5GbE, 10GbE, M12, CAN FD, serial or DIO modules, and the CFM interface takes PoE or ignition sensing.

The DI-1100-i3 runs from -40 °C to 70 °C, including with four PoE ports at full load when the optional external fan is fitted. Power is 9-48 V DC on a terminal block with over-voltage, over-current and reverse polarity protection, and Cincoze lists MIL-STD-810G shock and vibration, E-Mark, EN 50121-3-2 railway EMC compliance, CE, UKCA and FCC marks. We configure it with memory, storage and any modules fitted and tested before it ships.
