DFI ADN173-CB-N100 Intel N100 Mini-ITX Motherboard with 9 to 36 V DC Input and Dual 2.5GbE

Self-service kiosks, ticket machines and control panels are often powered from a 24 V supply shared with lighting, printers and door locks. The ADN173-CB-N100 takes that rail directly as the Intel N100 build in the DFI ADN173 family of Mini-ITX motherboards, accepting anything from 9 to 36 V DC.

The Intel N100 is part of the Alder Lake-N family and pairs with Intel UHD Graphics, which decode HEVC, VP9, AV1 and AVC in hardware for signage and video content. Memory is one DDR5 4800 MHz SO-DIMM of up to 16 GB. For a stated power budget, the ADN173-CB-N50 runs two cores at 6 W, and the ADN173-CB-N97 gives four cores at 12 W with 32 GB memory support.

Two DisplayPort outputs reach 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz, and DFI’s optional M2A module on the M.2 A-key can add a third display. Three USB 3.2 Gen 2 and one USB 2.0 Type-A port on the rear, plus four USB 2.0 headers, connect touch controllers, printers and card readers. Two Intel I226V 2.5GbE ports, six COM ports (two RS-232/422/485, four RS-232) and an 8-bit DIO cover networking and field I/O, and the M.2 B-key with Nano SIM, M.2 E-key, two SATA 3.0 ports and a PCIe x4 slot at x2 Gen3 take storage, wireless and expansion.

The ADN173-CB-N100 accepts 9 to 36 V DC on a barrel jack or 4-pin connector and runs from -5 to 65 °C on a passive heatsink. DFI lists CE, FCC, UKCA, RoHS and KC compliance, and the board supports Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB, Windows 11 and Linux, with a dTPM fitted.
