DFI GH171-V1807B AMD Ryzen Embedded V1807B Mini-ITX SBC with Dual GbE and Quad Display

Multi-screen signage, gaming terminals and inspection stations tend to run out of graphics before they run out of CPU. The GH171-V1807B is the build in the GH171 series with the most Radeon Vega compute units, pairing a 45 W processor with four independent 4K displays on a 170 x 170 mm Mini-ITX board.

The AMD Ryzen Embedded V1807B has four cores and eight threads at 3.35 GHz, with boost to 3.8 GHz and 11 Radeon Vega compute units. That leaves room for video walls, 3D interfaces and OpenCL image processing alongside the application. Two DDR4 3200 SO-DIMM slots take up to 32 GB, and the graphics decode H.265, H.264 and VP9 in hardware at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz across four DP++ outputs.

Rear I/O carries two GbE ports on Realtek RTL8111HN controllers, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, an RS-232/422/485 and an RS-232 DB-9 port, and audio. Internal headers add four RS-232 ports, four USB 2.0 and a vertical USB 3.0 Type-A connector. A PCIe x16 Gen3 slot runs at x8 signal for a capture or GPU card, the M.2 M-key 2280 socket runs NVMe at PCIe x4 Gen3, and two SATA 3.0 ports take further drives.

Power is 12 V DC on a 4-pin connector or DC barrel jack, and the GH171-V1807B runs from 0 to 60 °C with an active cooler, TPM 2.0 and CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance. If 45 W is more than the enclosure can remove, the GH171-V1605B keeps four cores at 15 W; where eight compute units are enough, the GH171-V1756B offers the same four cores at 45 W.
