DFI PTH173-IE-U5335RE Intel Core Ultra 5 335RE Mini-ITX SBC with 12 to 28 V DC Input and Wide Temperature

EV chargers, parking terminals and outdoor kiosks usually carry a 24 V supply for their contactors, locks and lighting, and a controller with a touchscreen, a payment terminal and a cellular link. The PTH173-IE-U5335RE is the entry build in the DFI PTH173 series, and it takes that 24 V supply directly on a Mini-ITX board rated for the outdoor cabinet.

Its Intel Core Ultra 5 335RE (Panther Lake) sits in the 15 W configuration DFI lists for the RE parts, with Intel vPro and Arc Xe3 graphics. Two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots take up to 128 GB in dual channel. HDMI 2.0, DP++ and USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode drive three 4K screens at 60 Hz, and DFI’s optional M.2 A-key module adds an eDP or LVDS panel, which suits an integrated touchscreen.

Four COM ports (two RS-232/422/485, two RS-232) connect payment terminals, meters and printers, 8-bit DIO switches locks and indicators, and five USB 2.0 on internal headers take touch and card readers alongside two USB 3.2 Gen 2, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 and one USB 2.0 port at the rear. An M.2 B-key with Nano SIM carries the cellular link, an M.2 E-key takes Wi-Fi, three 2.5GbE ports on Intel controllers cover wired networks, and a PCIe Gen5 x4 slot is free for expansion.

The PTH173-IE-U5335RE operates across a wide temperature range of -20 to 70 °C under an active cooler, takes 12 to 28 V DC on a barrel connector or 4-pin connector, and carries CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance.
