DFI RPP171-IE-1365UE Intel Core i7-1365UE Mini-ITX SBC with Triple 2.5GbE and Wide Temperature

A vision cell that inspects parts on three cameras while logging results to a line server needs cores, memory bandwidth and several network ports on one board. The RPP171-IE-1365UE is the Core i7 build in the DFI RPP171 series of industrial Mini-ITX motherboards, and it is the one to choose when that workload sits in a cabinet without heating or cooling.

Its Intel Core i7-1365UE (13th Gen Raptor Lake) has ten cores at up to 4.9 GHz with 12 MB cache, a TDP of up to 28 W and Intel vPro for remote management. Two DDR5 5200 MHz SO-DIMMs take up to 64 GB in dual channel. Intel Iris Xe Graphics drives two DP++ outputs at up to 4096 x 2304 and 60 Hz, a third display over USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode, and a fourth through DFI’s optional M2A module on the M.2 A-key.

Three 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226V and I226LM controllers separate the camera network from the plant uplink. Four rear USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, four internal USB 2.0 headers, four COM ports (two RS-232/422/485, two RS-232) and 8-bit DIO handle field devices. An M.2 M-key runs NVMe at PCIe Gen4 x4, the B-key takes a cellular module with its SIM slot, the E-key takes Wi-Fi, and a PCIe x4 Gen4 slot and two SATA ports add a frame grabber or extra drives.

The RPP171-IE-1365UE runs from 12 V DC on a barrel jack or 4-pin connector and operates from -20 to 70 °C, a wide temperature range, with its active cooler, with CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance. The RPP171-IE-1345UE keeps the ten cores and temperature range at up to 4.6 GHz, and RPP171-IB-1315UE suits indoor control at -5 to 65 °C. For a 9 to 36 V supply, see the RPP173 series.
