Diamond Systems JETBOX-JACKSON

Putting Jetson inference into a control cabinet usually means sourcing a carrier, an enclosure, storage and an image that all work together. The Diamond Systems JETBOX-JACKSON series removes that step with fanless DIN rail PCs for the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and Orin Nano, built on Diamond’s Jackson carrier board in a steel body with an aluminium heat sink cover, for commercial and industrial applications.

Every JETBOX-JACKSON ships with a 1TB NVMe SSD carrying Diamond’s Linux OS based on NVIDIA JetPack, which supports NVIDIA’s Super Mode, and a 2TB SSD is available by special order. The front panel has two USB 3.2 ports with USB 2.0 fallback, one HDMI output, one RS-232 port on DB9, one RS-232/485 port on RJ-12 and 16 GPIO on a DB25 connector with 3.3 or 5 V levels. Inside, a PCIe/USB minicard socket with nano SIM and an M.2 E-key 2230 socket take Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or modem modules, fitted at the factory. Power enters through a pluggable screw terminal block, and recessed reset and recovery buttons sit on the front.

The three JETBOX-JACKSON models differ by module. The JB-JAX-ONX16 uses the Orin NX 16GB, rated by NVIDIA at up to 100 TOPS and quoted by Diamond at 157 TOPS in Super Mode, with two Gigabit Ethernet ports and one CAN port. The JB-JAX-ONX8 uses the Orin NX 8GB at up to 70 TOPS, or 117 TOPS in Super Mode, with the same I/O. The JB-JAX-ONA8 uses the Orin Nano 8GB at up to 40 TOPS, or 67 TOPS in Super Mode, with one Gigabit Ethernet port and no CAN. Diamond orders each with the 1TB SSD, as JB-JAX-ONX16-1T-01, JB-JAX-ONX8-1T-01 and JB-JAX-ONA8-1T-01.

All JETBOX-JACKSON units run fanless from -25 to +80 °C, with Diamond estimating 70 °C with Super Mode at full performance, take 8-20 V DC and mount on a DIN rail or shelf. They are RoHS compliant. Typical installations include machine vision cells, line monitoring, smart building and transport cabinets, and robot work cells. We supply each unit configured, with the JetPack image loaded and the system tested before it ships.
