Diamond Systems JMM-512-V512 50W +5V/+12V/-5V/-12V DC/DC Wide Temperature PC104 Vehicle Power Supply

Some PC/104 stacks carry boards or peripherals that still expect negative supply rails alongside +5 V and +12 V, and a supply that provides all four saves a separate converter. The JMM-512-V512 is the quad-output model in the Diamond Systems JUPITER-MM series, a 50 W vehicle power supply in PC/104 form factor designed for air and ground vehicles.

It gives +5 V at up to 10 A, +12 V at up to 2 A, -5 V at up to 150 mA and -12 V at up to 800 mA, with the 50 W total shared across the outputs. Every rail is delivered onto the 8-bit and 16-bit PC/104 bus headers and onto an auxiliary screw-terminal connector for external tapping, and indicator LEDs show the outputs are up.

Input is 7 to 34 V DC, covering 12 V and 24 V systems, with a 1500 W transient voltage suppressor and a nominal transient cutoff at 31 V. Efficiency runs from 80 to 92% depending on load and input voltage, output protection covers current limit and short circuit, and the supply can be switched remotely by a contact closure. Diamond quotes an MTBF of 87,569 hours for the JMM-512-V512. The JMM-512 is the dual-output version, and the JUPITER-MM-5000 steps up to as much as 218 W with a PC/104-Plus bus option.

Rated for -40 to 85 °C at 5 to 95% non-condensing humidity, the JMM-512-V512 uses surface-mount parts and a low-profile top heat spreader so it fits PC/104 height limits and lets CPU and I/O boards stack above or below it. We supply and specify it as Diamond builds it.
