Forecr DSBOARD-AGX-AB NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 32GB Industrial Carrier Board with Six-Camera MIPI CSI-2 and CAN Bus

A robot or inspection cell running a handful of detection models does not always need the largest AGX Orin, but it does need the AGX camera bandwidth. The DSBOARD-AGX-AB pairs the Forecr DSBOARD-AGX industrial carrier board with the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 32GB module, fitted and ready to image.

The 32GB module delivers 200 TOPS from an Ampere GPU and an 8-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU, enough for several concurrent camera streams and models. Where the models grow, the DSBOARD-AGX-AC fits the 64GB module at 275 TOPS, and the DSBOARD-AGX-AA is the board on its own. Cameras connect through one 120-pin Samtec camera connector that supports six CSI cameras via an adapter board. GMSL2 is not on the carrier: Forecr sells an eight-channel GMSL2 add-on board for AGX systems, alongside six-channel MIPI CSI-2 and analogue video boards.

On the DSBOARD-AGX-AB, field wiring lands on a 14-pin pluggable terminal carrying the CAN bus, a software-configurable RS232/422/485 port, two digital inputs and three digital outputs. Storage combines 64 GB of eMMC 5.1 with an M.2 Key-M 2280 slot for a PCIe x4 NVMe SSD and a microSD slot, and an M.2 Key-B 3042 socket with nano-SIM takes an LTE or 5G modem. Display and data run over HDMI 2.0, one Gigabit Ethernet port and two USB 3.1 Type-A ports.

Power comes in at 12-30 V DC on a 4-pin pluggable terminal, the board is rated from -25 to +85 °C, and the fan header runs at 11 V or 5 V for the cooling an AGX Orin module needs. Forecr lists Ubuntu 20.04 and 22.04 with JetPack 5.x and 6.x. That makes the DSBOARD-AGX-AB a good fit for mobile robots, automation cells and surveillance systems where the 32GB memory tier covers the workload.
