Forecr MILBOARD-AGX NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin Rugged Carrier Boards with Quad GbE and Extended Temperature

Many defence and robotics designs still talk to their subsystems over plain serial links and several separate Ethernet segments, and they need the carrier board to provide those channels without extra cards. The Forecr MILBOARD-AGX series is a rugged carrier board for the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin built around that brief: four Gigabit Ethernet ports and eight UARTs on a 150 x 140 mm board that weighs 120 g and is rated from -40 to +85 °C.

All of the main interfaces come out on a 240-pin Samtec high-speed connector for a locking cable harness. Alongside the four Gigabit Ethernet ports, it carries two USB 3.2 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI 2.0 output at up to 3840 x 2160, two CAN bus interfaces and eight UARTs with RTS and CTS from an on-board UART bridge, plus I2C and SPI. A Micro-USB debug port gives console access during bring-up. Cameras connect through a 120-pin Samtec camera connector that supports six CSI cameras through an adapter board; GMSL2 cameras need an add-on board, as there is no GMSL on the carrier itself. Storage is an M.2 Key-M 2280 slot for an NVMe SSD with PCIe x4 and a full-size SD card slot, and the board adds an RTC, a temperature sensor and a 5 V fan header.

The series has three variants, one per module we fit. The MILBOARD-AGX-32GB carries the Jetson AGX Orin 32GB at 200 TOPS, the MILBOARD-AGX-64GB carries the 64GB module at 275 TOPS for heavier perception and sensor-fusion work, and the MILBOARD-AGX-IND carries the Jetson AGX Orin Industrial, which NVIDIA rates for -40 to +85 °C to match the board.

Power is 12-30 V DC on a four-pin Molex connector, and the board has no wireless, so cellular or Wi-Fi links come from elsewhere in the system. Forecr lists Ubuntu 20.04 and 22.04 with JetPack 5.x and 6.x for AGX Orin, so the standard NVIDIA tools and containers carry straight across. The MILBOARD-AGX series suits military vehicles, aerospace payloads, robotics and test equipment where several Ethernet segments and many serial channels have to reach one Jetson AGX Orin.
