Neousys NRU-230V-AWP-JAOi Jetson AGX Orin Industrial Extended Temperature Outdoor Computer with 8x GMSL2

Vision systems on mining trucks, port vehicles and roadside poles often face frost as well as rain and dust, and a module rated only for commercial temperatures can be the limiting part. The Neousys NRU-230V-AWP-JAOi pairs the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin Industrial module with eight GMSL2 camera inputs in an IP66 outdoor computer rated from -40 °C. It is the industrial-module, GMSL2-equipped model in the NRU-230V-AWP / NRU-240S-AWP series.

In the NRU-230V-AWP-JAOi, the Jetson AGX Orin Industrial module combines an NVIDIA Ampere GPU with Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU cores, and NVIDIA rates it at up to 248 sparse INT8 TOPS. It ships with JetPack and 64 GB of eMMC 5.1 on the module, and storage expands through an M.2 2280 NVMe socket on PCIe Gen4 x2 and two internal SATA ports for 2.5-inch SSDs. Neousys quotes the series at up to twenty-two 1080p video streams transcoded at once.

Eight waterproof FAKRA Z connectors at the rear take GMSL2 automotive or industrial stereo cameras, with 2 MP IMX390, 3 MP ISX031 and 5 MP IMX490 camera options at 30 fps. The front panel adds four Intel I350 Gigabit ports with 802.3at PoE+ from a 100 W budget, an M12 10GbE port, two isolated CAN 2.0 ports, isolated RS-485, RS-232, a GPS PPS input and a waterproof Type-C port with USB 3.2 and 4K DisplayPort. Two mini PCIe sockets and an M.2 B key socket with dual micro SIM take Wi-Fi 6, GNSS, 4G LTE or 5G modules.

Power is 8 V to 48 V DC with ignition control on an M12 L-coded connector. The NRU-230V-AWP-JAOi runs from -40 °C to 70 °C in 35 W TDP mode without 10GbE traffic or PoE load, and from -40 °C to 60 °C with every function active; in 75 W MAXN mode it runs without throttling at 50 °C. This outdoor computer is IP66 waterproof and dustproof and tested to MIL-STD-810H for shock and vibration. Where the cameras are all IP or GigE, the NRU-240S-AWP-JAOi drops the GMSL2 inputs.
