POC-551VTC Overview
Buses, trains and service vehicles increasingly carry several IP cameras, a cellular link and a connection to the vehicle CAN network, all of which has to fit behind a panel and survive the supply. The POC-551VTC packs that into a unit 64 mm wide. It is an ultra-compact vehicle mount computer from Neousys, built on the AMD Ryzen V1605B and certified to E-Mark and EN 50155 and EN 45545.
The Ryzen V1605B has four cores and eight threads at 2.0 GHz base and 3.6 GHz boost, a configurable 12 W to 25 W TDP and Vega graphics with six compute units. Neousys quotes up to three times the CPU performance of the earlier POC-351VTC. One DDR4-2400 SODIMM takes up to 16 GB, and TPM 2.0 is supported, which suits multi-camera recording, passenger counting and fleet analytics on the POC-551VTC.
Four Intel I350-AM4 GbE ports supply 802.3at PoE+ to onboard cameras. An isolated CAN 2.0 port reads vehicle data, and 4-channel isolated DI and DO handle door signals, alarms and indicators. Four USB 3.1 Gen1 ports use screw-lock retention, and VGA plus DisplayPort cover driver and passenger screens. Serial I/O is one software-programmable RS-232/422/485 port plus three RS-232 ports or one RS-422/485. Storage is an M.2 2280 NVMe socket at PCIe Gen3 x2 and an mSATA socket, while three mini PCIe sockets with SIM support and an M.2 B key socket take 4G or Wi-Fi modules.
Power is 8 to 35 V DC with built-in ignition control, plus a remote on/off terminal. The POC-551VTC is rated from -40 °C to 70 °C, with Neousys offering 100% screening for the extreme range and recommending -25 °C to 60 °C with every socket filled. Shock and vibration meet IEC 61373 Category 1 Class B. The 64 x 116 x 176 mm unit weighs 1.3 kg and mounts on a wall or, optionally, a DIN rail.

Official Neousys UK Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Neousys UK distributor, and the POC-551VTC is the smallest vehicle computer in the Neousys range with PoE+ and CAN together. If the vehicle also needs a PCIe card, the NUVO-2600 offers PoE+ and ignition control with a Cassette slot. For exposed mounting outside the cab, the POC-766AWP is an IP67 computer with M12 connectors and isolated CAN. Each of these runs fanless on a wide-range DC input.
Across our range, the POC-551VTC sits with our in-vehicle computers and our PoE computers, where its four powered ports suit onboard camera systems. Its AMD processor places it with our AMD Ryzen Embedded V1000 computers, and the -40 °C to 70 °C rating with screening adds it to our wide-temperature computers. E-Mark, EN 50155 and EN 45545 certification also suits it to bus and rail fleets.
