Nexcom XPPC 10-100 10.1″ Slim PCAP Touchscreen Computer with Intel Celeron J3455 and Optically Bonded Glass

A self-ordering screen on a restaurant counter has to respond to a light tap and run all day without a fan drawing in grease and dust. The XPPC 10-100 is Nexcom’s 10.1 inch Celeron model in the XPPC range: a 10.1 inch fanless slim touchscreen computer in an enclosed black-silver metal chassis, with a slim-bezel PCAP front that meets IP65 when panel mounted.

An onboard Intel Celeron J3455 runs at 1.50 GHz base with 2 MB cache and Intel HD Graphics, which suits ordering, queueing and signage software. One SO-DIMM socket takes up to 8 GB of DDR3L-1866 and an M.2 2242 Key M socket takes a SATA SSD; it ships as a barebone. Windows 10 64-bit and Linux are supported. The 10.1 inch LED-backlit LCD runs at 1280 x 800 (WXGA) with 800:1 contrast and 178° viewing angles, and the 10-point PCAP multi-touch is optically bonded to the LCD behind anti-smudge glass, which cuts reflections.

I/O covers two Gigabit LAN ports, two USB 3.0 ports, one RS-232/422/485 port, a line-out and an HDMI 2.0 output at up to 4096 x 2160 60 Hz for a second screen. A full-size mini-PCIe socket with a full-size SIM slot takes an optional Wi-Fi or LTE module. For DDR4 memory and 11th Gen Intel Core processors in the same outline, the XPPC 10-200 series offers the XPPC 10-200-i3.

Power is 19 V DC on a locking DC jack, with a 45 W 100 to 240 V AC adapter included. The XPPC 10-100 is fanless, operates from 0 to 50 °C with 0.7 m/s airflow and is shock-tested to 20 g peak under IEC 60068-2-27. It carries CE and FCC Class A marks and meets EN 62368-1 under the LVD. It measures 260.3 x 178.3 x 44.65 mm and weighs 2.0 kg. VESA 75 x 75 mm mounting is standard and the panel cut-out is 246.5 x 164.51 mm for panels up to 9.5 mm thick, with panel-mount and open-frame kits available as ordering options.
