NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX 16GB Module NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX 16GB Module with 21 TOPS and 16GB LPDDR4x

The Jetson Xavier NX 16GB Module is the larger-memory version in the NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX series, doubling memory to 16 GB of LPDDR4x with the same 21 TOPS Volta GPU and 6-core Carmel CPU. NVIDIA lists it through July 2027, so it suits replacements in Xavier NX designs that run larger or several models.

  • 16GB LPDDR4x: Twice the memory of the 8GB Jetson Xavier NX, on a 128-bit interface at up to 1866 MHz, for larger models.
  • 21 TOPS Volta GPU: 384 CUDA cores and 48 Tensor Cores at up to 1100 MHz give up to 21 TOPS INT8 at 15 and 20 W.
  • 6-Core Carmel CPU: Six Armv8.2 Carmel cores at up to 1.9 GHz with 4 MB of shared L3 cache run control and pre-processing.
  • 14 CSI Lanes and PCIe Gen4: The 260-pin SO-DIMM carries 14 MIPI CSI-2 lanes, PCIe x4 Gen4 plus x1 Gen3 and Gigabit Ethernet.
  • Listed Through July 2027: NVIDIA lists the Xavier NX 16GB through July 2027; the Jetson Orin NX 16GB is the successor for new designs.

Jetson Xavier NX 16GB Module Overview

Multi-camera inspection and analytics systems on the Xavier NX often hit the memory limit before the compute limit, which is why the 16GB version exists. The Jetson Xavier NX 16GB Module is the larger-memory version in the NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX series, next to the 8GB Jetson Xavier NX Module, and suits existing designs that run larger models or several networks at once.

Compute is the same as the 8GB module: NVIDIA rates the Jetson Xavier NX 16GB at up to 21 TOPS INT8 in the 15 and 20 W modes, from a 384-core Volta GPU with 48 Tensor Cores at up to 1100 MHz and a 6-core Carmel Armv8.2 CPU at up to 1.9 GHz. The difference is memory: 16 GB of 128-bit LPDDR4x at up to 1866 MHz, with 16 GB of eMMC 5.1. Power modes of 10, 15 and 20 W run from a 5 V input.

The 260-pin SO-DIMM connector carries 14 MIPI CSI-2 lanes, PCIe x1 Gen3 plus x4 Gen4, one USB 3.1 and three USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, one CAN interface and two eDP, DP or HDMI outputs.

NVIDIA lists the Jetson Xavier NX 16GB as available through July 2027, and sends an official end-of-life notice at least eight months before the last shipment. The Jetson Orin NX 16GB is the successor for new designs: NVIDIA quotes five times the performance of the Xavier NX and up to 157 TOPS for the Orin NX series.
