Stereolabs ZED-LINK-QUAD (ACC-212000) GMSL2 Capture Card for NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin with 8x Camera Inputs and Dual MAX96712 Deserialisers

The ZED-LINK-QUAD is the eight-input GMSL2 capture card from Stereolabs for the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin, with two MAX96712 deserialisers and 40 Gbps of total bandwidth. It captures eight cameras in SD or HD, or four at 4K and 15 fps, for 360° surround perception on large robots and vehicles.

  • 8x GMSL2 Camera Inputs: Captures eight ZED X or ZED X One cameras in SD or HD, or four at 4K and 15 fps, on one AGX Orin.
  • Dual MAX96712 Deserialisers: Two MAX96712 deserialisers share 40 Gbps of total bandwidth, so several high-resolution streams can be processed at the same time.
  • Samtec Board-to-Board Mount: A 120-pin Samtec connector mounts the card directly on the AGX Orin developer kit, designed by Stereolabs for high-vibration conditions.
  • 2x 4×1 FAKRA-Z Connectors: Two 4×1 FAKRA-Z connectors take the eight GMSL2 camera cables, each carrying one camera over coaxial cable.
  • -20 °C to 75 °C Operation: Rated from -20 °C to 75 °C, with a 9 V to 19 V DC two-pin input and frame-sync on the GPIO header.

ZED-LINK-QUAD Overview

Surround perception on an autonomous vehicle or a large mobile robot can mean eight cameras feeding one computer, each frame aligned with the others. The ZED-LINK-QUAD is the Stereolabs GMSL2 capture card built for that scale, an eight-input board for the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin developer kit aimed at 360° situational awareness and large multi-angle arrays.

Two MAX96712 deserialisers give the ZED-LINK-QUAD eight GMSL2 inputs in SD or HD, or four at 4K and 15 fps, with 40 Gbps of total bandwidth for simultaneous high-resolution streams. That is enough for eight ZED-X-NARROW stereo cameras around a vehicle, or four ZED-X-ONE-4K-WIDE cameras at 4K, and any ZED X or ZED X One model is supported. A 16-pin GPIO header carries the frame-sync line as an input in slave mode or an output in master mode, so the whole array can capture in step.

The host connection is a 120-pin Samtec board-to-board connector that mounts the card directly on the AGX Orin developer kit. Stereolabs designs this interface to hold a secure connection under vibration and tough conditions, which matters on vehicles and outdoor robots. Power comes from a 9 V to 19 V DC input on a two-pin connector, and the cameras connect through two 4×1 FAKRA-Z connectors on optional GMSL2 FAKRA cables from 0.3 m to 15 m. For four cameras, or for Orin Nano and Orin NX hosts, the ZED-LINK-DUO is the smaller card.

The ZED-LINK-QUAD is rated from -20 °C to 75 °C, and its order code is ACC-212000. We supply it tested on your AGX Orin developer kit with the cameras and cable lengths you specify, with JetPack and the ZED SDK configured and sync set up across the array before it ships. If you are working with board-level ZED X One Core cameras instead of GMSL2, the ZED-LINK-MIPI-QUAD is the matching interface.
