ZED-X-ONE-S-FISHEYE Overview
Humanoid robots and mobile machines need to know what is beside and behind them, not only in front. The Stereolabs ZED-X-ONE-S-FISHEYE fits a 1.38 mm f/2.0 fisheye lens with a 204° horizontal field of view to the small camera body of the ZED-X-ONE-S series, so one camera covers what would otherwise take two or three. Where a flatter, less distorted image matters more than coverage, the ZED-X-ONE-S-WIDE gives 110° and the ZED-X-ONE-S-NARROW 73°.
The full field is 204°(H) x 137°(V) x 218°(D), with an f-theta projection of +18.8%, the figure to model when you undistort the image. The 1/2.6″ 2.3MP sensor uses a global shutter, so a robot turning its head or driving past an obstacle is captured without skew. Output runs at 1920 x 1200 at 60 fps, 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps in cropping mode or 960 x 600 at 120 fps in binning mode, with a Bosch BMI088 six-axis IMU at 200 Hz for motion tracking.
GMSL2 on a lockable FAKRA Z connector carries video and power over one coax cable of up to 15 m to an NVIDIA Jetson Orin host on Jetson Linux (L4T) v35.1 or newer. Hardware synchronisation within 15 microseconds lets two or more ZED-X-ONE-S-FISHEYE cameras build an all-round view with matched frames. On a Jetson AGX Orin, the ZED-LINK-QUAD captures up to eight GMSL2 cameras in SD or HD.
The camera draws a typical 0.89 W over the GMSL2 cable, with a 5 to 20 V supply rating. It is rated from -20 °C to 60 °C, at up to 90% relative humidity at 40 °C, and rated for 2g RMS vibration from 3 to 500 Hz. M2 threads at the front and base take optional adapter plate, front mount and bottom mount accessories. Stereolabs lists CE, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, EMC and FCC compliance and a two-year warranty. We supply it tested with the cables, capture card and Jetson host for your robot.
