Stereolabs ZED-X-ONE-S-WIDE (ZED-412012) IP69K Mini GMSL2 Camera with Wide 2.2 mm Lens, Global Shutter and -20 to 60 °C Rating

Cameras on food lines, farm machinery and outdoor robots get hosed down, splashed and covered in dust. The Stereolabs ZED-X-ONE-S-WIDE is the build of the ZED-X-ONE-S series made for that: Stereolabs rates the wide-lens version to IP69K, and it is the only lens option in the series with an IP rating. The ZED-X-ONE-S-NARROW and ZED-X-ONE-S-FISHEYE share the sensor and GMSL2 link but carry no IP rating, so they suit protected positions.

The 2.2 mm f/2.2 lens gives a 110°(H) x 80°(V) x 120°(D) field of view with TV distortion under 4.39%, wide enough to watch a gripper and its surroundings in one frame. The 1/2.6″ 2.3MP global shutter sensor exposes every pixel at once, so produce on a belt or a moving tool is captured without skew. Output runs at 1920 x 1200 at 60 fps, 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps in cropping mode or 960 x 600 at 120 fps in binning mode, with a Bosch BMI088 six-axis IMU at 200 Hz.

A lockable FAKRA Z connector carries GMSL2 video and power over coax runs of up to 15 m to an NVIDIA Jetson Orin host on Jetson Linux (L4T) v35.1 or newer. Hardware synchronisation within 15 microseconds lets several ZED-X-ONE-S-WIDE cameras cover a machine from different sides. The ZED-LINK-DUO captures up to four GMSL2 cameras in SD or HD, and the ZED-LINK-QUAD up to eight on a Jetson AGX Orin.

Power arrives over GMSL2 at a typical 0.89 W, with a 5 to 20 V supply rating. The camera is rated from -20 °C to 60 °C and rated for 2g RMS vibration from 3 to 500 Hz for one hour per axis. M2 threads at the front and base take optional adapter plate, front mount and bottom mount accessories. Stereolabs lists CE, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, EMC and FCC compliance and a two-year warranty. We supply it tested with the GMSL2 cables, capture card and Jetson host before it ships.
