Stereolabs ZED-X-ONE-S Global Shutter Mini GMSL2 Cameras with Narrow, Wide IP69K, Fisheye or No Lens

Cameras on robot arms and end-effectors compete for space with grippers, cables and tooling, and every gram counts on a moving joint. The Stereolabs ZED X One S series is a small global shutter camera built for those tight integrations, which Stereolabs describes as 35% smaller and lighter, aimed at high-speed pick-and-place systems and humanoid robots. These mini GMSL2 cameras keep the 2.3MP sensor and GMSL2 link of the larger ZED X One cameras in a body that fits where space is short.

Every ZED X One S uses a 1/2.6″ 2.3MP global shutter sensor that exposes every pixel at once, so fast arm motion is captured without skew. Output runs at 1920 x 1200 at 60 fps, 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps in cropping mode or 960 x 600 at 120 fps in binning mode, with 71.4 dB dynamic range. GMSL2 on a lockable FAKRA Z connector carries video and power over coax runs of up to 15 m to an NVIDIA Jetson Orin host, at a typical 0.89 W with a 5 to 20 V supply rating. Frames sync across cameras within 15 microseconds, and a Bosch BMI088 six-axis IMU reports at 200 Hz.

The ZED X One S range splits by lens. The ZED-X-ONE-S-NARROW has a 4.6 mm lens and a 73° horizontal view, which Stereolabs positions for specific AI tasks. The ZED-X-ONE-S-WIDE has a 2.2 mm lens and a 110° view, and it is the only build rated IP69K, for washdown and spray. The ZED-X-ONE-S-FISHEYE has a 1.38 mm lens and a 204° view for panoramic awareness on humanoid and mobile robots. The ZED-X-ONE-S-NO-LENS has no optic fitted, for a lens of your own choosing.

In practice the ZED X One S series suits pick-and-place cells, robot arms, food and agriculture machines and humanoid robots. All builds are rated from -20 °C to 60 °C, at up to 90% relative humidity at 40 °C, and rated for 2g RMS vibration from 3 to 500 Hz. M2 threads at the front and base take optional adapter plate, front mount and bottom mount accessories. Stereolabs lists CE, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, EMC and FCC compliance and a two-year warranty, and these mini GMSL2 cameras run on Jetson Linux (L4T) v35.1 or newer.
