Vecow PE-3000 Four Port Gigabit Intel I350 Cards with PoE+ or Hardware LAN Bypass
The Vecow PE-3000 series is a family of four-port Gigabit Ethernet cards on one Intel I350 controller, with a PoE+ build and a LAN bypass build. Both use PCI Express x4, IEEE 1588 PTP and 802.1AS, and operate from -25 to 70 °C. The series suits surveillance, industrial Ethernet, transport, mobile NVR and automation systems.
- Four Gigabit Ports: Four independent 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports on one Intel Ethernet Controller I350.
- PCI Express x4: A PCI Express x4 host interface carries all four Gigabit links.
- IEEE 1588 and 802.1AS: Hardware time synchronisation for aligned traffic from several devices.
- Energy Efficient Ethernet: 802.3az EEE, DMA coalescing and jumbo frames up to 9728 bytes.
- -25 to 70 °C Operation: Operation from -25 to 70 °C, storage from -40 to 85 °C, with Windows and Linux listed.

PE-3000 Description
Some systems need four powered camera ports; others sit in line on an industrial network and need a hardware bypass instead. The Vecow PE-3000 series covers both needs on one four-port Gigabit design, with a PoE+ build and a LAN bypass build. Vecow’s ordering table names the PE-3004 as an I350 four-channel PCI Express card with PoE+ and the PE-3014 as the same card with advanced 2-pair LAN bypass. We specify these cards for surveillance, transport and industrial Ethernet systems we build and supply.
Both builds share one architecture. Four independent Gigabit ports on 8-pin RJ45 connectors run from one Intel Ethernet Controller I350 at 10/100/1000 Mbps, and Vecow lists A-coded M12 connectors as an option. The host interface is PCI Express x4. The controller supports jumbo frames up to 9728 bytes, link aggregation, 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet and DMA coalescing. Link aggregation lets several ports serve one device. Time synchronisation covers IEEE 1588 PTP and 802.1AS, which keeps timed traffic from several devices aligned on the host.
The two variants differ in what they add to the ports. The PE-3004 is the PoE+ build: every port complies with IEEE 802.3at and supplies up to 25.5 W at 48 V DC from a 4-pin 12 V connector, so four cameras each need one cable. The PE-3014 is the LAN bypass build: Vecow’s ordering table lists it with advanced 2-pair LAN bypass and does not list PoE+, and the bypass relays sit behind the ports. Both builds keep the same controller, ports, host interface and time synchronisation, so moving between them changes only the power or bypass function. Choose the PE-3004 for powered cameras and the PE-3014 for an in-line network role.
Vecow does not state a total PoE budget for the PE-3004, so we size its 12 V feed against the camera loads. The cards operate from -25 to 70 °C and store from -40 to 85 °C, at 5 to 95% humidity, non-condensing. Each board measures 168 x 121 mm with a full-height bracket, and Vecow lists CE and FCC. Vecow lists Windows 10, 8.1 and 7 and Linux support, and names intelligent surveillance, industrial Ethernet, intelligent transport systems, mobile DVR/NVR and industrial automation as applications.

Official Vecow UK Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Vecow UK distributor, supplying the PE-3000 series for UK surveillance and industrial networking programmes. Within the Vecow range the PE-2000 series gives each PoE+ port its own I210 controller, and the SE-1000 series fits four ports into a PCIe x1 slot.
The PE-3000 series sits among our PCIe network cards, our frame grabber cards and our add-in cards. Where four Gigabit ports need either PoE+ or hardware LAN bypass on one I350, this is the Vecow series to specify.
