Vecow PE-9004 Intel E610-XAIT2 4-Port 10GbE 802.3at PoE+ PCIe Expansion Card with Extended Temperature

Four high-resolution cameras at 10GbE produce more data than most hosts can take through Gigabit links, and in an outdoor or unheated enclosure the card has to cope with the cold as well. The PE-9004 is the four-port model in the PE-9000 series from Vecow, built on Intel E610-XAIT2 controllers and rated from -40 °C to 70 °C. We supply it configured and tested, with the card fitted in the host and the PoE budget checked against all four cameras.

Two Intel E610-XAIT2 controllers share the four ports and connect to the host over PCI Express Gen 4 x4. They support jumbo frames up to 9728 bytes, PXE boot, Intel Virtualization Technology and Intel Ethernet power management, with 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet on idle links. IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol helps align timestamps across the four cameras for multi-view inspection.

The four RJ45 ports run at 10 Gbps, 5 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps, 1 Gbps or 100 Mbps, and each supports IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at with up to 25.5 W at 48 V DC and PoE on/off control. PoE power comes from one 4-pin 12 V connector. The PE-9002 is the two-port version, the PE-5004 carries four 10GbE PoE+ ports on an Intel XL710 over PCIe 3.0 x8, and the PE-8004MX moves the four ports to X-coded M12.

Vecow rates the PE-9004 from -40 °C to 70 °C in operation and from -40 °C to 85 °C in storage, with humidity from 5% to 95% non-condensing. The card has a full-height bracket. Vecow lists Windows 11 and Linux support, and the datasheet shows CE and FCC under EMC with the RoHS mark.
