A panel mount screen on outdoor equipment has to stay readable in daylight and keep rain out of the enclosure it sits in. The R10L100-PPT2OD is Winmate’s 10.4 inch PCAP touch panel mount display for these jobs, with a 1000 nit panel and a front IP65 aluminium bezel.
The 10.4 inch LCD runs at 1024 x 768 with 1000 nits, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 16.2M colours and 176° viewing angles. Winmate describes it as sunlight readable with a high brightness design. Projected capacitive multi-touch connects over USB, and five keys on the rear control the on-screen display.
Video comes in over VGA as standard, with HDMI and DVI available as options, and a 3.5 mm audio line-in with two speakers can be added. An optional UV film adds solar radiation protection for screens in direct sun, and an optional heater extends operation down to -25 °C. The R10L100-PCT2OD is the chassis version of this outdoor design, and the R12L100-PCM2OD offers a 12.1 inch chassis.
Power is 12 V DC, and Winmate supplies a 100 to 240 V AC adapter, power cord, VGA and HDMI cables and VESA screws. The monitor operates from -10 °C to 60 °C as standard, stores from -10 °C to 60 °C at 10 to 90% RH, non-condensing, and cools without a fan. It measures 284 x 252 x 55 mm, weighs 2.3 kg, fits a 262 x 218 mm cut-out or 75 x 75 mm VESA holes, and carries CE and FCC marks. Winmate names industrial visualisation, control rooms and equipment monitoring as applications.
