PCI ExpressSC400N1-L HDMI Overview
Capturing an HDMI camera, instrument or presenter’s laptop often means the original screen still has to show the picture. The SC400N1-L HDMI is Yuan’s low profile PCIe HDMI video capture card with one HDMI input at up to 1920 x 1080 at 60/50 fps and an HDMI loop-through output that passes the signal on. It is a good fit for compact recorders, streaming PCs and test benches handling a single HDMI source.
The input covers 1080p at 60/50 and 30/25/24 fps, 1080i, 720p and PC resolutions from 1280 x 1024 down to 640 x 480, plus 480p, 576p, 480i and 576i, with more resolutions available through the SDK. Capture formats are 8-bit RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 and NV12, and HDMI embedded audio is captured as stereo at 16-bit, 32 to 48 kHz.
It connects over PCIe x1 Gen2. Hardware cropping and scaling, auto signal detection and a deinterlace engine run on the card, which also carries 16 GPIO and a watchdog and supports multiple instances and multiple cards. YUAN provides a Windows and Linux SDK, and vMix, OBS and other DirectShow or V4L2 software is supported. The SC400N1-L SDI / HDMI adds an SDI input next to HDMI, and the SC400N2-L HDMI takes two HDMI inputs at 1080p60.
Driver support covers Windows and Linux 2.6.14 or higher, 32-bit and 64-bit, plus Linux ARM on NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. We supply the SC400N1-L HDMI fitted and tested in the host system it goes into, with drivers installed and the loop-through output checked before delivery.
