SDI/HDMI to Multi Overview
Analogue monitors, projectors and recorders are still in service in many broadcast, education and industrial sites, while new sources are SDI or HDMI. The Yuan SDI/HDMI to Multi is a broadcast video converter that takes those digital signals down to DVI-I, component, S-Video or composite, with scaling to match the display.
Inputs are one HDMI and one SDI. HDMI accepts 1080p at 60/50 fps down to SD and VESA PC formats from 640×480 to 1280×1024, and SDI accepts 3G, HD and SD-SDI. Outputs are one DVI-I, three BNC connectors shared for component, S-Video and composite, an SDI loop-through and a stereo jack for analogue audio. Composite and S-Video output NTSC or PAL, and component outputs 480i to 1080p. Input audio is up to eight channels, 24-bit, with two channels de-embedded on the stereo jack.
The SDI/HDMI to Multi includes 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratio conversion and region of interest, and runs from a 7.5 to 15 V DC input. For the opposite direction, the Multi to SDI/HDMI brings analogue and DVI onto SDI and HDMI. Where a VGA display is the target, the SDI to VGA-S outputs D-Sub with an OSD menu.
No operating temperature or certification is published, so we treat it as an indoor rack or desk unit. We can also supply spare units for critical signal paths and advise on mounting and power in the rack, so the installation is ready before you go live. We supply the SDI/HDMI to Multi configured and tested with the sources and displays it will sit between.
