ASRock Industrial iEP-6010E-003 NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB AI Edge Computer with 5G/4G and Wi-Fi Options

Roadside cabinets, pumping stations and temporary sites often have power but no fixed network, so inference results and alerts have to go out over a cellular link. The ASRock Industrial iEP-6010E-003 is the 5G model in the iEP-6010E series, a fanless AI edge computer that takes a 5G or 4G LTE module in its M.2 B-key socket.

Inside the iEP-6010E-003 is the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB module, with 16 GB of 128-bit LPDDR5 and up to 100 sparse (50 dense) INT8 TOPS under NVIDIA JetPack 5. An M.2 M-key 2280 socket takes a PCIe Gen4 x4 or Gen3 x4 NVMe SSD, with a microSD slot and TPM 2.0.

The M.2 B-key socket (3042/3052) runs on PCIe Gen3 x1 or USB 3.2 Gen 2, with a nano SIM slot and up to four cellular antennas, and an M.2 E-key socket adds Wi-Fi with two more antennas. Wired I/O covers two Gigabit LAN ports, one HDMI 2.0 output, four USB ports, RS-232 and RS-232/422/485, plus DB15 connectors for digital I/O, CAN bus, I2C and SPI. Power is 12 to 36 V DC with 80 V surge protection and a locking USB Type-C PD 20 V backup input.

ASRock Industrial rates the iEP-6010E-003 from -25 °C to 55 °C with a 5G module fitted, given 0.5 to 0.8 m/s of airflow, and from -25 °C to 60 °C with a 4G LTE module and a Gen3 SSD. The 68 mm wide, 1.6 kg case mounts vertically on a DIN rail or a wall. The iEP-6010E-001 is the same AI edge computer with two PoE ports in place of the cellular socket.
