DFI ADP253-ETI-80I545UE Intel Core i5-1245UE (Alder Lake) 4″ EPIC Single Board Computer with 9 to 36 V DC Input and -30 to 80 °C

Outdoor kiosks, EV charger displays and ticket machines combine a bright screen, a payment or card reader and a network link in an enclosure that is rarely heated. They need a board that starts on a cold morning and keeps running in a sunlit summer afternoon. The ADP253-ETI-80I545UE is the Core i5 wide temperature build in the DFI ADP253 series of 4″ EPIC single board computers, rated from -30 to 80 °C.

Its Intel Core i5-1245UE (12th Gen Alder Lake) runs 10 cores and 12 threads at 1.5 to 4.4 GHz within 15 W. Memory is 8 GB of DDR4 soldered on the board plus one DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM slot taking up to 32 GB. Intel Iris Xe graphics drive HDMI at up to 4096 x 2160, VGA and two USB-C ports with DisplayPort Alt Mode, so one board can serve a main screen and a customer display. Intel AMT allows remote power cycling and console access when the operating system is unresponsive.

Six COM ports (two RS-232/422/485 and four RS-232) connect card readers, printers and meters, with 8-bit DIO shared with COM3 for door and tamper switches. One 2.5GbE port and two GbE ports on Intel I226 separate payment, management and content traffic. The M.2 B-key with SIM takes a 4G or 5G module, the M.2 E-key takes Wi-Fi, and a Realtek ALC888S codec provides audio prompts. Two USB 3.2 Type-A ports and two USB 2.0 headers cover touch and peripherals.

The ADP253-ETI-80I545UE runs from 9 to 36 V DC on a locking barrel jack or 4-pin connector and operates fanless from -30 to 80 °C. It carries CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance and a discrete TPM 2.0. For the highest clocks at this temperature grade, choose ADP253-ETI-80I765UE; for a lower-cost wide temperature build without Iris Xe graphics, ADP253-ETI-80I315UE uses the Core i3.
