DFI GH171-R2514B AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514 (R2000 Series) Mini-ITX SBC with Dual GbE and Quad Display

Video walls, wayfinding screens and 3D operator interfaces put most of their load on the GPU, so compute units count for more than clock speed. The GH171-R2514B is the R2000 build in the GH171 series with eight Radeon Vega compute units at 35 W, on a 170 x 170 mm Mini-ITX board with four DP++ outputs.

The AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514 runs at 2.1 GHz, boosting to 3.7 GHz, in a 35 W TDP. Its eight compute units drive four independent displays at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz, with hardware decode for H.265, H.264 and VP9 and OpenCL for image processing. Two DDR4 3200 SO-DIMM slots take up to 32 GB, which leaves room for content caches and local media. The graphics support DirectX 12, OpenGL 4.5 and OpenCL 2.1 for signage players and 3D engines.

The PCIe x16 Gen3 slot runs at x8 signal for a capture, GPU or network card, and storage is an M.2 M-key 2280 socket plus two SATA 3.0 ports. Rear I/O has two GbE ports on Realtek RTL8111HN controllers, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, RS-232/422/485 and RS-232 DB-9 ports and audio, and internal headers add four RS-232, four USB 2.0 and a vertical USB 3.0 Type-A.

The GH171-R2514B takes 12 V DC via a 4-pin connector or DC barrel jack and runs from 0 to 60 °C with an active cooler, TPM 2.0 and CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance. The GH171-R2314B is the six compute unit option at the same TDP, and the GH171-V1807B offers 11 compute units on the V1000 generation.
