DFI RPP051 Intel 13th Gen Core Raptor Lake 2.5" Pico-ITX SBCs with 2.5GbE and Extended Temperature Options

Space inside compact HMIs, kiosks and small controller housings is usually fixed early in a design, and the board has to fit it without a fan. The DFI RPP051 series puts 13th Gen Intel Core processors, code name Raptor Lake, on a 100 x 72 mm Pico-ITX board with a passive heatsink, so a compact, sealed design can run Intel Core processors with no moving parts.

Eight builds cover three temperature grades. The standard -5 to 65 °C builds are the RPP051-BTD-1365UE with a ten-core Core i7-1365UE, the RPP051-BTD-1345UE with a ten-core Core i5-1345UE, the RPP051-BTD-1315UE with a six-core Core i3-1315UE and the RPP051-BTD-U300E with the five-core Intel Processor U300E. The RPP051-ETD-U300E rates the U300E for wide temperature operation from -30 to 80 °C. Three extended temperature builds use Intel’s URE processors, rated from -40 to 85 °C: the RPP051-TCD-1365URE, RPP051-TCD-1345URE and RPP051-TCD-1315URE.

Every processor runs at a 15 W TDP. The Core i7 and i5 parts carry Intel Iris Xe graphics and support Intel AMT for remote management; the Core i3 and U300E use Intel UHD graphics. All of them decode AV1, HEVC, VP9, AVC and MJPEG in hardware. A single DDR5 SO-DIMM socket takes up to 32 GB at 4800 MHz.

A 2.5GbE port on an Intel I226IT controller connects the board to the network. DP++ drives an external monitor at up to 4096 x 2304 at 60 Hz and eDP a built-in panel at up to 4096 x 2160, for two independent displays. Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports sit on the rear edge, with two USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232/422/485 port and 8-bit digital I/O on internal headers. Three M.2 sockets carry expansion: an E-key 2230 for Wi-Fi, a B-key 2242/3042 for PCIe x2 or SATA storage, and a second B-key 2242/3042 with a nano SIM slot for 4G or 5G.

RPP051 boards run from 12 V DC on a terminal block and cool through a passive heatsink, which keeps dust and moving parts out of the thermal path. They support Windows 11, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 64-bit and Linux, with TPM 2.0 and a programmable watchdog, and carry CE, FCC, UKCA, KC and RoHS compliance.
