DFI TGU173-IB-1115G4E Intel Core i3-1115G4E (Tiger Lake) Industrial Mini-ITX Motherboard with 9 to 36 V DC Input and Triple LAN

A machine HMI fitted inside a control panel usually shares the panel’s 24 V DC supply with the PLC and drives, and the builder would rather not add a converter just for the computer. The TGU173-IB-1115G4E is the Core i3 build in the DFI TGU173 series of industrial Mini-ITX motherboards, taking 9 to 36 V DC directly for indoor installations.

The Intel Core i3-1115G4E (11th Gen, Tiger Lake) has two cores and Intel UHD Graphics, enough for HMI runtimes, SCADA clients and data logging. Two DDR4 3200 MHz SO-DIMMs take up to 64 GB. The board has five display outputs, four active at once: rear HDMI, DP++ and USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode at up to 3840 x 2160, internal eDP and dual-channel LVDS for a panel-mounted screen.

Networking is two GbE ports on Intel I211AT or I210IT controllers and one 2.5GbE port on an Intel I225LM or I225IT controller, so the HMI can sit on the machine network and the plant network at once. Four rear USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports and four internal USB 2.0 headers add keyboards and storage, and four COM ports (two RS-232/422/485, two RS-232 with power) with 8-bit DIO link drives, barcode readers and stack lights. An M.2 M-key runs NVMe at PCIe Gen4 x4, and a PCIe x4 Gen3 slot takes a fieldbus or I/O card.

The TGU173-IB-1115G4E runs from 9 to 36 V DC on a barrel jack or 4-pin connector and operates from -5 to 65 °C with its active cooler, with CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance and a 1 to 255 second watchdog.
