JB-FLOYD-XNX-02 Overview
Some edge AI nodes need more inference than a Nano can give but have no cameras to power, which makes the PoE carrier an unnecessary cost. The Diamond Systems JB-FLOYD-XNX-02 is an AI edge computer in the JETBOX-FLOYD series that pairs the NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX with Diamond’s Floyd carrier board, a preconfigured Linux OS and an enclosure for DIN rail or table-top mounting.
The Jetson Xavier NX module brings a six-core Carmel Arm v8.2 CPU at up to 1.9 GHz and is rated at 21 TOPS, with built-in flash that holds Diamond’s Linux image based on NVIDIA JetPack. That leaves room for several detection or segmentation models running side by side on live camera streams.
The low-cost carrier gives the JB-FLOYD-XNX-02 one Gigabit Ethernet port, one HDMI 2.0 port, one RS-232 port and one RS-232/485 port, eight 3.3 V GPIO, one USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, and the Xavier NX module adds one CAN 2.0B port. It drops PoE and the minicard socket, and in exchange the M.2 2280 socket runs on a PCIe x4 link for NVMe flashdisks of up to 2 TB.
Power on the JB-FLOYD-XNX-02 is a wide 7-28 V DC input, so 12 V and 24 V supplies both work, and a 12 V universal AC adapter is included for bench use. The system is rated from -25 to +80 °C, and dual SMA cutouts take Wi-Fi or cellular antennas for installed modules. For PoE+ and dual HDMI with the same module, see the JB-FLOYD-XNX-01; for the Nano version of this carrier, see the JB-FLOYD-NAO-02.

Official Diamond Systems UK Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Diamond Systems UK distributor, supplying the JB-FLOYD-XNX-02 with the Jetson module and Linux image installed and tested. For a smaller DIN rail box with Xavier NX, HDMI and DisplayPort, see the JETBOX FLOYD-SC, and for Jetson AGX Xavier with four serial ports, see the JETBOX-STEVIE. Within the JETBOX-FLOYD range, the 01 models carry PoE+, dual HDMI and a minicard socket, while the 02 models trade those for a single port and a faster PCIe x4 M.2 socket, so the right build depends on whether the cameras need power.
Across our range, the JB-FLOYD-XNX-02 sits with our AI inference computers and our NVIDIA Jetson computers, and its DIN rail mounting places it among our DIN rail PCs. It suits nodes that need Xavier NX inference and fast NVMe logging but have no cameras to power, such as gateways, process monitors and inspection stations. Its 7-28 V DC input accepts both 12 V and 24 V supplies, which simplifies wiring in cabinets that already carry one or the other.
