Diamond Systems STEVIE : STV-BB03 NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier Industrial Carrier Board with 16 GPIO, Supplied Without Module

Volume AGX Xavier designs built around cameras rarely use analogue I/O, and every unused feature adds cost to each unit shipped. The STV-BB03 is the economy model of the Diamond Systems STEVIE industrial carrier board for the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier, supplied without a module.

The STV-BB03 takes the AGX Xavier 8GB, 16GB and 32GB modules, which mount underneath the board on four M3 spacers; the 32GB module gives up to 32 TOPS from a 512-core Volta GPU. A camera connector with 4x 4 CSI-2 lanes takes four 4-lane cameras, or up to eight 2-lane cameras, through an adapter board, which suits multi-camera inspection and robot vision work. The STV-AGX32-03 is this board with the 32GB module installed and programmed, and the STV-BB01 adds the second GbE port, four serial ports and analogue I/O.

The STV-BB03 has one Gigabit Ethernet port on a single, lower-height RJ-45 jack, plus two USB 3.1 and two USB 2.0 ports, two HDMI outputs, two CAN ports and audio. Two RS-232/422/485 serial ports cover a PLC or instrument link, and an I2C GPIO expander provides 16 GPIO lines for triggers, indicators and interlocks. Storage and expansion run to an M.2 2280 NVMe socket on four PCIe lanes, a UFS flash and microSD socket and a full-size Mini PCIe socket with PCIe and USB for flash or I/O expansion modules.

The STEVIE board is only slightly larger than the AGX Xavier module itself, and the most-used connectors sit along the front edge with commercial-style panel I/O, so it can mount behind an enclosure panel with fewer internal cables. It takes 9-20 V DC, and Diamond rates the carrier from -40 to +85 °C. Diamond’s CK-STV-01 cable kit covers the pin-header I/O and the power connector on the STV-BB03.
