Sintrones IBOX-600-IP66-ONX8 NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB Compact IP66 Waterproof Edge AI Computer

Analytics on vehicles and trackside equipment rarely stops at one camera; a typical node fuses several video feeds with LiDAR or CAN data, and it has to do so behind a sealed enclosure. The Sintrones IBOX-600-IP66-ONX8 is a waterproof edge AI computer in the IBOX-600-IP66 series that brings NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB compute into an IP66 aluminium alloy enclosure for that kind of multi-stream work.

The Orin NX 8GB combines a 1024-core NVIDIA Ampere architecture GPU with 32 Tensor Cores, a 6-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU at up to 2.0 GHz, 8 GB of 128-bit LPDDR5, one NVDLA v2 deep learning accelerator and one PVA v2 vision accelerator. The accelerators let inference and pre-processing run alongside the GPU. Where models or stream counts need more memory and a second NVDLA, the IBOX-600-IP66-ONX16 offers the Orin NX 16GB in the same enclosure.

Connections are sealed and locking: 2.5GbE and GbE on M12 X-coded ports, with RS-232/422/485 serial, CAN FD and three digital inputs with four outputs on M8. HDMI with 4K output and two covered USB 3.2 ports cover local work, and the IBOX-600-IP66-ONX8 takes optional 4G or 5G WWAN, Wi-Fi and GPS modules in its M.2 Key B, M.2 Key E and mPCIe slots, with five SMA antenna holes on the rear panel.

Power is 9 to 60 V DC through an M12 K-coded connector with ignition management and over-current, over-voltage, surge and reverse polarity protection. The fanless waterproof edge AI computer runs from -25 °C to 70 °C, is tested to IEC 60068-2-64 and MIL-STD-810G shock and vibration, and is designed to EN 50155 and EN 45545-2 with E-Mark certification. At 1.63 kg, the Sintrones IBOX-600-IP66-ONX8 wall-mounts on vehicle bodies, trackside structures and poles.
