ZED-X-ONE-CORE-NO-LENS Overview
OEMs building a camera into their own product usually want control of the optic and the housing as well as the sensor. The Stereolabs ZED-X-ONE-CORE-NO-LENS is the no-lens build of the ZED-X-ONE-CORE series, a board-level global shutter camera with no lens fitted, ready to design into a small enclosure. If a standard optic will do, the ZED-X-ONE-CORE-FISHEYE, ZED-X-ONE-CORE-WIDE and ZED-X-ONE-CORE-NARROW come with 1.38 mm, 2.2 mm and 4.6 mm lenses.
The 1/2.6″ 2.3MP sensor has a 1928 x 1208 pixel array with 3 µm pixels and a recommended lens chief ray angle of 0° ± 3°, the figure to match when you specify a lens. Its global shutter exposes every pixel at once for skew-free capture of moving parts. Output runs at 1920 x 1200 at 60 fps, 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps in cropping mode or 960 x 600 at 120 fps in binning mode, with 71.4 dB dynamic range and a Bosch BMI088 six-axis IMU at 200 Hz.
The ZED-X-ONE-CORE-NO-LENS outputs four-lane MIPI CSI-2 on a 30-pin Micro I-PEX connector, which also carries 3.3 V power, a frame-sync input for multi-camera triggering and a flash-enable output for external lighting. It connects through the ZED-LINK-MIPI-QUAD, which takes up to four cameras on a Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit, or two on Jetson Thor through the NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge, each at 1920 x 1200 and 60 fps over I-PEX cables of up to 50 cm.
Power draw is 0.8 W at 3.3 V over the MIPI cable, and the camera is rated from -20 °C to 60 °C. Four mounting holes fix the board in place, and Stereolabs lists REACH and RoHS compliance with a two-year warranty. We supply it tested with the ZED Link MIPI Quad, I-PEX cables and Jetson host it will run on, with drivers configured before it ships.
