UB700G HDMI2.1-L HDR Overview
Display and graphics testing often runs well above 60 Hz, and checking what a source really sends needs a capture card that keeps up. The UB700G HDMI2.1-L HDR is Yuan’s USB HDMI capture card for HDMI 2.1, accepting up to 4K144 and 1080p360 from a single input. It can be a good fit for display validation, streaming and recording where frame rate matters more than 8K resolution.
Yuan lists input modes of 3840 x 2160 at 144 and 120 fps, 2560 x 1440 at 240 fps and 1920 x 1080 at 360 fps, all with 422 10-bit and 444 8-bit HDR. Over USB 3.2 it outputs MJPEG up to 4K144, NV12, I420 and MJPEG at 4K60 and 1080p240, YUY2 at 4K50, P010 at 4K30 and RGB24 at 1440p60 and below. Audio comes from HDMI embedded audio or an analogue stereo input at 16-bit, 48 kHz.
The host link is USB 3.2 Type-C as a UVC device, and on a USB 3.0 port Yuan lists MJPEG up to 4K144 and NV12 at 4K30. Yuan describes its compression as software, real-time mode, with no hardware encoder on board. Within the same USB family, the UB700G HDMI2.1 HDR HID+ adds 8K60 input and keyboard and mouse transfer to the target PC, and the UB579G HDMI2.0 covers HDMI 2.0 sources at 4K60 and 1080p240 over USB 3.0.
Yuan lists Windows 11, Linux and macOS support. We supply the UB700G HDMI2.1-L HDR tested with the host computer it will run on, with drivers and capture software installed, so it is ready to record when it arrives.
