iEP-5000G-001 Overview
A single camera or sensor on a line often ends up with its own PoE injector and power supply, which adds clutter to a cabinet and another point of failure. The ASRock Industrial iEP-5000G-001 removes that layer by supplying IEEE 802.3af PoE from two of its own ports. It is the PoE model in the iEP-5000G series, a fanless edge gateway that powers and collects from the devices beside it.
Compute is the quad-core Intel Atom x6425RE at 1.9 GHz within 12 W, with two DDR4 3200 SO-DIMM sockets for up to 32 GB with In-Band ECC and HDMI 2.0b plus VGA outputs. That suits protocol conversion, buffering and forwarding of camera and sensor data, with Intel TCC and TSN support under Linux and Windows 10 or Linux as the operating system.
Networking on the iEP-5000G-001 totals five ports: three GbE ports on MaxLinear GPY215 controllers and two Intel I210-AT ports with IEEE 802.3af PoE. Three RS-232/422/485 ports, 4 DI/4 DO, two USB 3.2 Gen1 and two USB 2.0 ports cover other field devices. Storage is an M.2 2280 Key M socket in PCIe or SATA mode plus microSD, and an M.2 Key E socket takes a Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 module. Power is 19 to 36 V DC with 80 V surge protection, and this model has no 2.5-inch bay or cellular option.
This edge gateway measures 58 x 125 x 157 mm and mounts on a DIN rail or a wall. It operates from -40 °C to 50 °C with 0.5 to 0.8 m/s airflow, is rated for 5 Grms vibration and 100 G shock with an SSD, and meets CE and FCC Class A. For sites that need 4G or 5G instead of PoE, the iEP-5000G-000 and iEP-5000G-010 are the closer fit, and the iEP-5000G-002 offers five LAN ports without PoE.

Official ASRock Industrial UK Distributor
Things Embedded is an official ASRock Industrial UK distributor, and several ASRock Industrial ranges suit camera and sensor points next to the iEP-5000G-001. The iEP-7020E also has a PoE model, pairing two IEEE 802.3af ports with a 13th Gen Intel Core processor for heavier analytics, and the iEP-6010E brings NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX AI inference to a fanless DIN-mount case for on-device vision.
Across our catalogue, the iEP-5000G-001 sits with our PoE computers and our DIN rail computers, where devices are powered from the same unit that reads them. Its fan-free design also places it among our fanless PCs for dusty cabinets and enclosures.
