ASRock Industrial iEP-6010E-000 NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB AI Edge Computer with 100 TOPS and Dual GbE

An inspection cell or line-side vision station often has its cameras on a network switch already, and needs a compact computer that can run inference beside the machine. The ASRock Industrial iEP-6010E-000 is the basic model in the iEP-6010E series, a fanless AI edge computer in a 55 mm wide case that mounts on a DIN rail, a wall or a VESA bracket.

In the iEP-6010E-000, compute comes from the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB module, with 16 GB of 128-bit LPDDR5 and up to 100 sparse (50 dense) INT8 TOPS, running NVIDIA JetPack 5. An M.2 M-key 2280 socket takes a PCIe Gen4 x4 or Gen3 x4 NVMe SSD, and on this basic model the M.2 B-key socket can hold a second, PCIe Gen3 x1 SSD, with a microSD slot and TPM 2.0 as well.

Connections include two Gigabit LAN ports, one HDMI 2.0 output, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports (one locking), two USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232 and one RS-232/422/485 port. Two DB15 connectors carry four digital inputs, four digital outputs, CAN bus, I2C and SPI, and an M.2 E-key socket takes a Wi-Fi module. Power is 12 to 36 V DC on a Phoenix connector with 80 V surge protection, with a locking USB Type-C PD 20 V input as a backup source.

ASRock Industrial rates the iEP-6010E-000 from -25 °C to 60 °C with a wide temperature Gen3 NVMe SSD, or to 55 °C with a Gen4 SSD, with 100 G operating shock and 5 Grms vibration. It weighs 1.3 kg. For an AI edge computer that powers its own cameras, the iEP-6010E-001 adds two PoE ports, and the iEP-6010E-003 adds a 5G or 4G LTE socket.
