ZED-BOX-MINI-NANO4 Overview
Fleets of small mobile robots and smart cameras often need just one stereo camera per unit, and the cost of each unit matters when the order runs to hundreds. The Stereolabs ZED-BOX-MINI-NANO4 is the entry build of the ZED-BOX-MINI series, an embedded box PC on the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano 4GB that Stereolabs sizes for one ZED-X-WIDE stereo camera or two ZED-X-ONE-GS-WIDE monocular cameras.
The Orin Nano 4GB module is rated at 20 TOPS, with 10 W and 25 W power modes; the 25 W MAXN SUPER mode needs the fan kit fitted. Stereolabs quotes single stereo depth at 30 fps with 80% GPU load. That leaves less headroom than the ZED-BOX-MINI-NANO8, so the ZED-BOX-MINI-NANO4 fits depth, positional tracking and lighter inference best. Hardware video encode is listed as not yet supported on the Orin Nano builds, while decode covers one 4K stream at 60 fps.
Two GMSL2 FAKRA-Z connectors take the cameras over single coaxial cables, with frame-sync trigger input and output on terminal blocks to align capture across several ZED Box Mini units. There is one Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port, one USB 3.0 Type-A, one HDMI 1.4 output at up to 4K and a Micro-USB port for flashing and debug. Storage is a 256 GB NVMe SSD on an M.2 Key-M 2242 socket, and an M.2 Key-E 2230 socket takes the optional Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6 module: order ZBX-420010 without Wi-Fi or ZBX-420110 with it. A 10-pin debug header carries a 3.3 V UART, CAN controller signals that need an external transceiver, and two GPIO lines.
Power is 12 V DC (10.5 V to 13.5 V, 60 W maximum) on a screw terminal block, and the anodised aluminium heatsink case is rated from -20 °C to 50 °C at 10% to 90% non-condensing humidity, with CE and FCC marks. An integrated mounting plate fixes it to a wall or frame. We supply it tested with JetPack 6.2 and the ZED SDK installed, with the cameras, GMSL2 cables and optional Wi-Fi your project needs.
