Antaira GNX-0500G 5-Port Gigabit Unmanaged Industrial Ethernet Switches with Extended Temperature Options

Vision cameras, HMIs and data loggers can saturate a 100 Mbps link, so even a five-port panel switch is often specified with Gigabit copper on every port. The Antaira GNX-0500G series covers that with unmanaged industrial Ethernet switches that pass traffic as soon as they are powered: five Gigabit RJ45 ports in a slim IP30 metal housing for a DIN rail or a wall, with nothing to configure on site.

Every GNX-0500G has five 10/100/1000Base-T(X) RJ45 ports with auto negotiation, auto MDI/MDI-X and full or half duplex, for PLCs, HMIs, cameras and uplinks on Cat.5e or better cable up to 100 m. Switching is unmanaged and store-and-forward, on a 10 Gbps switching fabric and a 2K MAC address table, with IEEE 802.3x flow control, IEEE 802.1p class of service and 9 KB jumbo frames. DIP switches turn on broadcast storm protection and QoS; otherwise there is nothing to set up. Power arrives on a single 9.6 to 60 V DC input through a removable 3-pin terminal block. That wide range lets the switch run from a 12, 24 or 48 V DC cabinet supply. Reverse polarity and overload current protection are built in, and each switch draws 1.232 W at full load. ESD protection reaches 6 kV contact and 8 kV air, with EFT and surge to 2 kV.

The series has two builds that differ only in temperature rating. The GNX-0500G is the standard build, rated -10 °C to 70 °C for indoor panels and heated cabinets. The GNX-0500G-T is the extended temperature build, rated -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated outdoor enclosures, roadside cabinets and camera poles. Both share the same ports, switching, power input and approvals, so a scheme can mix them by location. Where the devices also need power over the cable, the GNP-0500G series series adds PoE+ from a 90 W budget.

Both models are tested for shock, vibration and free fall to EN 60068-2-27, EN 60068-2-6 and EN 60068-2-31, store from -40 °C to 85 °C and tolerate 5 to 95% non-condensing humidity. They comply with UL 62368-1 (MET), carry LVD, CE and FCC Class A marks, are listed by Antaira as TAA and NDAA compliant and come with Antaira’s 5-year warranty.
