Antaira LMX-0602-M-V2 6-Port Fast Ethernet Managed Industrial Network Switch with 2x 100FX SC Multi-mode Fiber

Across a water treatment works, a factory or a substation compound, cabinets are often a few hundred meters to a couple of kilometers apart, beyond the reach of copper and close to electrical noise. The LMX-0602-M-V2 is the standard temperature, multi-mode build in the Antaira LMX-0602-V2 series: a six-port managed switch with two 100Base-FX fiber ports, rated -10 °C to 70 °C.

It has four 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports with auto MDI/MDI-X and two 100Base-FX fiber ports, multi-mode SC, up to 2 km, with fixed optics so no transceivers are needed. Switching is store-and-forward on a 1.2 Gbps fabric with an 8K MAC address table and 9.6 KB jumbo frames. The Layer 2+ firmware covers IEEE 802.1Q VLANs, QoS with eight priority queues, IGMP snooping for up to 1024 groups, LACP, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP Option 66/67/82, Modbus TCP and 802.1X with HTTPS and SSH, and adds static routes between VLANs. The two fiber ports suit an ITU-T G.8032 ERPS ring, which recovers in under 50 ms, with STP, RSTP and MSTP also supported.

Power arrives on 12 to 48 V DC redundant inputs on a removable 6-contact terminal block, and the switch draws 7.5 W. A power lost warning drives a relay contact rated 24 V DC, 1 A, overload current and reverse polarity protection are built in, and Antaira gives the switch high EFT and ESD protection with EMS testing to IEC 61000-4-2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8. It is managed through the web console, Telnet, SSH or CLI, with an RS232 console port on RJ45.

The LMX-0602-M-V2 sits in an IP30 metal case for DIN rail or wall mounting. It is UL 61010-1 certified, carries FCC and CE marks, is RoHS compliant and comes with Antaira’s 5-year warranty. The LMX-0602-M-T-V2 is the same switch rated -40 °C to 75 °C, and the LMX-0602-S3-V2 uses single-mode fiber for runs up to 30 km.
