Antaira LMX-0802-ST-M 8-Port Fast Ethernet Managed Industrial Ethernet Switch with 2x 100FX ST Multi-mode Fiber

The LMX-0802-ST-M is the ST multi-mode, standard temperature build of the Antaira LMX-0802 series: an eight-port managed switch with six Fast Ethernet RJ45 ports and two 100FX ST fiber ports, rated -10 °C to 65 °C, with G.8032 ERPS and 802.1X. It suits fiber runs across a site.

LMX-0802-ST-M Overview

Fast Ethernet control networks spread across a plant, campus or treatment works often need a fiber link between buildings, where copper would run too far or pass too close to heavy electrical plant. Where an existing fiber plant is terminated in ST connectors, matching them avoids re-terminating or patching through adaptors. The LMX-0802-ST-M is the ST, multi-mode, standard temperature build in the Antaira LMX-0802 series: an eight-port managed switch with two 100Base-FX fiber ports, rated -10 °C to 65 °C.

It has six 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports with auto-negotiation and two 100Base-FX multi-mode fiber ports with ST connectors and fixed optics. Switching is store-and-forward on a 1.6 Gbps fabric with an 8K MAC table and a 4 Mbit buffer. The Layer 2+ firmware covers port, MAC, protocol and private VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, LACP, LLDP, RMON, sFlow, DDMI and Modbus TCP, with static routes and NAT. Security includes 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, ACLs, IP source guard and ARP inspection. The two fiber ports suit an ITU-T G.8032 ERPS ring with recovery in under 50 ms, and STP, RSTP and MSTP are supported.

Power arrives on a 12 to 48 V DC input on a terminal block, and the switch draws 15 W. A power lost warning and relay trigger drive a relay contact rated 24 V DC, 1 A, and the switch can also send automatic warnings by e-mail. Overload current and reverse polarity protection are built in, and Antaira gives the switch high EFT and ESD protection with EMS testing to IEC 61000-4-2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8. Set-up is through the web console, Telnet or CLI, with USB configuration backup.

The LMX-0802-ST-M sits in an IP30 metal case for DIN rail or wall mounting. It is UL 61010-1 certified, carries FCC and CE marks, is RoHS compliant and comes with Antaira’s 5-year warranty. The LMX-0802-ST-M-T is the same switch rated -40 °C to 75 °C, the LMX-0802-ST-S3 uses single-mode fiber and the LMX-0802-M has SC connectors.
