Antaira LMX-2012G-SFP 20-Port Gigabit Managed Industrial Switches with 12x SFP and Extended Temperature Options

Most DIN rail switches are copper first, with a couple of fiber slots for the uplink. A fiber aggregation point is the other way round: several runs come in from remote cabinets and only a handful of local devices need copper. The Antaira LMX-2012G-SFP series is a family of managed industrial switches built that way, with 12 SFP slots and eight gigabit RJ45 ports on a DIN rail.

Each LMX-2012G-SFP has 12 100/1000 SFP slots that take single-mode or multi-mode transceivers and eight 10/100/1000Tx RJ45 ports with auto MDI/MDI-X, on a 40 Gbps switching fabric with eight priority queues. Switching is store-and-forward with an 8K MAC table, a 4 Mbit packet buffer and 9.6K jumbo frames. Light Layer 3 adds static routes and DHCP option 82 to the Layer 2 feature set, so traffic can pass between subnets without a separate router. ITU-T G.8032 ERPS v1/v2 restores a broken ring in under 50 ms, with STP, RSTP, MSTP and LACP trunking, and the firmware covers VLAN, QoS with DSCP, IGMP and MLD snooping, DHCP snooping, LLDP, sFlow, RMON and Modbus TCP. Access is secured with 802.1X, SNMP v3, HTTPS and SSHv2, and an RS232 console in RJ45 plus USB 2.0 configuration backup help with set-up and swaps.

The series offers two temperature grades. The LMX-2012G-SFP is the standard build, rated -10 °C to 65 °C for heated cabinets and indoor panels, and the LMX-2012G-SFP-T is the extended temperature build, rated -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated outdoor enclosures. Both draw 19 W, carry a 24 V DC, 1 A relay output and list FCC, CE, UL 61010-1 and NEMA TS2.

Antaira names power and utility, water and wastewater, oil, gas and mining, factory automation, security surveillance within transportation and ITS as applications for the LMX-2012G-SFP series, typically on SCADA and control networks. Every build runs on redundant 12 to 48 V DC inputs through removable terminal blocks, with overload current and reverse polarity protection, in an IP30 metal housing for DIN rail or wall mounting. Antaira lists IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration, storage from -40 °C to 85 °C and 5 to 95% non-condensing humidity, and covers the series with its 5-year warranty.
