Antaira LNP-0500-24-T 5-Port Fast Ethernet Unmanaged PoE Switch with 4x PoE+, 12-36V DC Input and -40 to 75 °C

Plenty of control cabinets run from a 12 or 24 V DC supply, which is too low to power PoE devices directly. The LNP-0500-24-T is the extended temperature model in the Antaira LNP-0500-24 series: a five-port industrial unmanaged PoE switch that accepts 12 to 36 V DC and still supplies 30 W PoE+ to four cameras, access points or sensors, rated for unheated outdoor enclosures.

Four 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports deliver IEEE 802.3at PoE+ on ports one to four, and a fifth 10/100Base-TX port carries the uplink. The PoE ports power IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at devices, so older and newer cameras can share the switch. Every port supports auto negotiation, full and half duplex and auto MDI/MDI-X. Switching is unmanaged and store-and-forward on a 1.0 Gbps backplane with a 2K MAC address table and broadcast storm protection, so the switch passes traffic as soon as power is applied, with no set-up. For a 48 V DC cabinet the LNP-0500 is the matching model.

Power arrives on redundant 12 to 36 V DC inputs on a removable 6-contact terminal block, so a second supply can take over if the first fails, with a total consumption of 145 W at full load. Reverse polarity and overload current protection are built in, with surge protection to 2,000 V DC and ESD protection to 6,000 V DC. LEDs show Power 1, Power 2 and Fault, and a built-in relay output alerts engineers when a power failure or port break occurs.

The LNP-0500-24-T runs fanless from -40 °C to 75 °C in an IP30 aluminum case, mounts on a DIN rail or a wall, and is tested to IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration. Antaira lists it as UL Class 1 Division 2 and UL 508 certified, with FCC and CE marks and RoHS compliance, and covers it with Antaira’s 5-year warranty. The LNP-0500-24 is the standard temperature model, and the LNP-0500G-24-T adds Gigabit ports on the same low-voltage input.
