Antaira LNX-0500-M12-67 5-Port Fast Ethernet Unmanaged M12 Ethernet Switches with IP67 and Extended Temperature Options

A switch mounted on a machine frame or outside a cabinet faces the conditions that defeat ordinary network hardware: vibration that works RJ45 plugs loose, and dust, spray or washdown water that gets into open sockets. The Antaira LNX-0500-M12-67 series answers that with screw-locking M12 connectors and an IP67 housing, in an unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch that needs no set-up. Mounting the switch at the machine, rather than in a remote cabinet, also shortens the cable runs to each device and keeps the network close to the equipment it serves.

Every LNX-0500-M12-67 shares the same design. Five 10/100Base-T(X) Fast Ethernet ports sit on 4-pin D-coded female M12 connectors, with auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X. Switching is store-and-forward on a non-blocking fabric with a 1K MAC table and IEEE 802.3x flow control, which suits the controllers, drives and sensors that usually connect at machine level. Power arrives on redundant 12 to 48 V DC inputs through one 5-pin A-coded male M12 connector, with reverse polarity and overload current protection, and the switch draws only 500 mW. Antaira tests it to IEC 61000-4 immunity standards for ESD, EFT and surge.

The series comes in two temperature grades. The LNX-0500-M12-67 is the standard build, rated -10 °C to 70 °C for machines indoors. The LNX-0500-M12-67-T is the extended temperature build, rated -40 °C to 75 °C for equipment outdoors or in unheated plant areas. For more M12 ports, the LNX-0800-M12-67 series offers eight, and the LNP-0500G-M12-67-T moves to Gigabit with PoE+ for cameras and other powered devices.

Antaira describes the LNX-0500-M12-67 series for industrial applications subject to high vibration and shock, in environments containing dust or liquid or laden with gas. Because the switch is unmanaged, a replacement can be fitted by maintenance staff without any network configuration. Both builds sit in an IP67 plastic housing for DIN rail or wall mounting, with shock and vibration ratings to IEC 60068-2-27 and IEC 60068-2-6, UL 61010-1 certification and FCC, CE and RoHS marks.
