Antaira LNX-0702C-SFP 7-Port Fast Ethernet Unmanaged Industrial Ethernet Switches with 2x SFP and Extended Temperature Options

Not every device on an industrial network needs gigabit. Meters, controllers and older PLCs often run at 10 or 100 Mbps, and what the cabinet really needs is a reliable fiber path back. The Antaira LNX-0702C-SFP series covers that job: industrial unmanaged Ethernet switches with five Fast Ethernet copper ports and two SFP slots, designed by Antaira for rugged and harsh environmental deployments. There is no management interface and nothing to configure, so the switch forwards traffic as soon as power is applied, and the gigabit-capable SFP slots give the uplinks more headroom than the 10/100 copper side needs.

Each LNX-0702C-SFP uses the same design. The five 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports support auto negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X, and the two dual-rate SFP slots take 100 or 1000 Mbps transceivers, so fiber mode and reach follow the modules chosen. Switching is unmanaged and store-and-forward on a 5 Gbps fabric, with an 8K MAC table, 9.6 KB jumbo frames and IEEE 802.3x flow control. Power arrives on 12 to 48 V DC redundant inputs on a removable terminal block, with reverse polarity protection and an 8 W draw, and a relay output rated 24 V DC, 1 A signals a power failure to a PLC or alarm panel.

Two builds separate the series by temperature. The LNX-0702C-SFP is the standard build, rated -10 °C to 70 °C for heated or indoor cabinets. The LNX-0702C-SFP-T is the extended temperature build, rated -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated and outdoor enclosures. Both have the same ports, power input and approvals, so the choice comes down to where the cabinet sits. Where the copper devices need gigabit too, the LNX-0702G-SFP series offers the same layout with 10/100/1000 ports.

Both LNX-0702C-SFP models are housed in an IP30 metal case with DIN-rail and wall mounting hardware included, and follow IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration testing. Antaira lists UL Class 1, Division 2 and UL 61010-1 certification, with FCC and CE marks and RoHS compliance, and covers the series with its 5-year warranty. The LNX-0702C-SFP series is a good fit for Fast Ethernet device cabinets that need a pair of fiber uplinks and nothing to set up. In practice, the SFP slots let the same switch serve a short multi-mode run inside a building or a long single-mode link between sites, depending on the transceiver fitted.
