ASRock Industrial 4X4 BOX-AI340 AMD Ryzen AI 5 340 NUC PC with 50 TOPS NPU, Quad Display and 2.5GbE

Many signage and edge AI installs need the same NPU and display count as a higher-end unit, but not the extra CPU cores. The ASRock Industrial 4X4 BOX-AI340 is the Ryzen AI 5 model in the 4X4 BOX AI300 Series series: a fanned NUC PC with the same I/O, wireless and 50 TOPS NPU as its sibling, on a six-core processor with a smaller power adapter.

The AMD Ryzen AI 5 340 is a Krackan Point processor with six cores and 12 threads, boosting up to 4.8 GHz. Its NPU is rated at 50 TOPS, so the 4X4 BOX-AI340 can still run AI models locally, with AMD Radeon graphics driving the screens. Two SO-DIMM sockets take up to 96 GB of DDR5 5600, and an AMD firmware TPM and a watchdog timer are built in. ASRock Industrial lists Windows 11 support.

Networking is one Realtek RTL8125BG 2.5GbE port and one Realtek RTL8111H Gigabit port, with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 on an M.2 Key E module. On the front are two USB4 Type-C ports with DisplayPort 1.4a, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port and a headphone and microphone jack. The rear has two HDMI 2.1 outputs rated up to 8K at 60 Hz, two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports and the DC jack, and up to four displays can run at once. Two M.2 Key M sockets on PCIe Gen4 take NVMe SSDs, one in 2242 or 2280 and one in 2242.

The NUC PC is fan-cooled and rated from 0 °C to 40 °C, which typically suits indoor installs with some ambient airflow. Power is 12 to 24 V DC through a DC jack, and a 19 V 90 W adapter and a VESA mount bracket come in the box. It carries CE and FCC marks. We supply it as a complete NUC PC, configured and tested with memory, NVMe storage, the Wi-Fi module and the OS image fitted. The 4X4 BOX-AI350 moves to an eight-core Ryzen AI 7 350 with a 120 W adapter, and the 4X4-AI340 is a 4×4 motherboard with the same processor.
