iEP-6022E-001 Overview
A camera or two on a production line, a gate or a conveyor rarely justifies a separate PoE switch and power supply. The ASRock Industrial iEP-6022E-001 is the PoE build of the iEP-6022E series, a fanless Jetson Orin Nano 8GB edge AI computer that powers two IP cameras from its own IEEE 802.3af ports.
The Jetson Orin Nano 8GB module pairs 8 GB of 128-bit LPDDR5 with up to 67 sparse (33 dense) INT8 TOPS with Super Mode, so the iEP-6022E-001 can typically run detection or counting models on one or two camera streams and pass results to the plant network. It runs NVIDIA JetPack 6.2 on Ubuntu 22.04, with a TPM 2.0 on board. Storage is an M.2 2280 M-Key socket for a wide-temperature PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSD and a microSD slot.
Alongside the two Gigabit Ethernet ports (one from the module, one on an Intel I210AT), two more Intel I210AT ports supply IEEE 802.3af PoE, so four RJ45 ports in total. Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports (one locking) and two USB 2.0 ports take cameras and peripherals, and HDMI 1.4 drives a local display. One RS-232 and one RS-232/422/485 port connect serial devices, and two DB15 connectors carry four digital inputs, four digital outputs, CAN bus, I2C, SPI and remote power signals. An M.2 E-Key socket takes an optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module.
Power is 12 to 36 V DC on a Phoenix-type connector with 80 V surge, over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current and reverse protection. The fanless iEP-6022E-001 is rated from -25 °C to 60 °C with 0.5 to 0.8 m/s airflow and is tested to IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-64 vibration. Mounting is vertical wall or DIN rail. We supply it configured and tested, with the NVMe SSD, the JetPack image and any optional Wi-Fi module fitted. The iEP-6022E-002 has four PoE ports, and the iEP-6020E-001 is the Orin NX 16GB version of this build for heavier models.
