ASRock Industrial iEP-7040E-023 Intel Arrow Lake Core Ultra 7 255H DIN-Rail Industrial PC with Five LAN Ports and 5G Option

Outlying cabinets often have several wired devices but no wired uplink. The ASRock Industrial iEP-7040E-023 is the 5LAN-5G build of the iEP-7040E series, combining five LAN ports with an M.2 Key B socket for an optional 4G LTE or 5G module, so this fanless DIN-rail industrial PC can work as an industrial IoT gateway.

The Intel Core Ultra 7 255H is a 16-core Arrow Lake-H processor rated at 28 W, with Intel Arc graphics and an integrated NPU for dedicated AI acceleration, so the iEP-7040E-023 can run edge AI inference next to control, logging or HMI software. Two DDR5 5600 SO-DIMM sockets take up to 96 GB with Intel In-Band ECC, and an M.2 2280 Key M socket on PCIe Gen4 takes NVMe storage. ASRock Industrial supports Windows 11 and Linux.

The cellular module goes in the M.2 3042/3052 Key B socket with a Nano SIM slot, and the two extra Intel I210-AT Gigabit ports come from a two-port LAN module in the M.2 Key E socket, so Wi-Fi is not offered on this build. With three Intel I226-IT ports at up to 2.5 Gbps, that gives five LAN ports. The rest of the I/O covers one HDMI 2.0b and one VGA output, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 and one USB 2.0 port, three RS-232/422/485 ports, 4DI/4DO on a D-sub connector, and line-out and mic-in audio. We fit the module, SIM and antennas you specify.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC, with an optional 120 W adapter, on two three-pin terminal blocks for redundant feeds, with over-voltage, under-voltage and over-current protection plus 80 V surge protection. The iEP-7040E-023 runs fanless from -25 °C to 50 °C with airflow, is tested to 5 Grms vibration and 100 G shock, and carries CE and FCC Class A marks. Mounting is wall or DIN rail. We supply it configured and tested, with memory, NVMe storage and the OS image fitted. The iEP-7040E-024 pairs 5G with Wi-Fi on three LAN ports, and the iEP-7041E-023 is the same build with a Core Ultra 5 225H.
