ASRock Industrial IMB-1238 Intel Core Series 2 and 14th/13th/12th Gen Q670 Mini-ITX Mainboard with vPro, PCIe Gen5 and 4x COM

Machine control, test and kiosk builds tend to collect serial devices and remote sites, so COM ports and remote management can save site visits. The ASRock Industrial IMB-1238 is a Q670 Mini-ITX mainboard for that work, taking Intel Core Series 2 (Bartlett Lake-S) and 14th, 13th and 12th Gen Core processors up to 65 W in an LGA1700 socket, with Intel vPro and AMT through its I219LM port.

Two DDR5 SO-DIMM sockets take non-ECC memory at 4800 or 5600 MHz, up to 96 GB. A PCIe x16 Gen5 slot supports a riser card split as x8/x8. Storage comes from an M.2 Key M socket at PCIe Gen4 x4, a second M.2 Key M socket at PCIe Gen3 x4 with SATA, and four SATA 6Gb/s ports, with Intel VMD RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10. Windows 11 and Linux are supported. Where ECC memory is needed, the W680 IMB-X1238 is the same board with ECC support.

The rear panel carries one HDMI 2.0b, one HDMI 1.4b and one DisplayPort 1.4a, four USB 3.2 Gen2 and two USB 2.0 ports, two RS-232/422/485 COM ports on DB9, audio, an Intel I226V 2.5GbE port and the Intel I219LM GbE port. A single internal connector serves LVDS or eDP, switched in the BIOS, giving up to four displays. Headers add two USB 3.2 Gen1 and two USB 2.0 ports, two RS-232 COM ports, four GPI and four GPO lines and a watchdog timer. M.2 Key E takes optional Wi-Fi and M.2 Key B with a SIM socket takes optional 4G or 5G.

Power comes from a 24+4-pin ATX supply or a 12 V DC input, in AT or ATX mode. The IMB-1238 is rated from -20 °C to 70 °C in operation and -40 °C to 85 °C in storage, carries CE and FCC marks and has an onboard TPM 2.0.
