DFI ADN171-CB-i3-N305 8-Core Intel Core i3-N305 Mini-ITX SBC with Dual 2.5GbE, DP and HDMI

Edge gateways and vision stations tend to gather work over their life: a second camera, a protocol converter, a local dashboard. The ADN171-CB-i3-N305 gives that room on a standard Mini-ITX footprint as the eight-core member of the DFI ADN171 range, with the same serial and network I/O as its lower-power siblings.

The Intel Core i3-N305 runs eight Alder Lake-N cores at up to 3.8 GHz in a 15 W TDP, still within reach of the passive heatsink. Intel UHD Graphics decode HEVC, VP9, AV1 and AVC in hardware, which helps with multi-stream video, and memory is one DDR5 4800 MHz SO-DIMM of up to 16 GB. If the workload is lighter, the quad-core ADN171-CB-N200 runs at 6 W, and the ADN171-CB-N97 offers four cores with 32 GB memory support and three rear display outputs.

Two Intel I226V 2.5GbE ports carry camera traffic and an uplink on separate interfaces. The rear adds DisplayPort, HDMI 2.0, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 and one USB 2.0 Type-A, with four USB 2.0 headers, six COM ports (two RS-232/422/485, four RS-232) and an 8-bit DIO inside. The M.2 B-key takes an SSD or a cellular module with its Nano SIM, the M.2 E-key a Wi-Fi card with CNVi support, and a PCIe x4 slot wired at x2 Gen3 can take a frame grabber or I/O card, alongside two SATA 3.0 ports.

Power is 12 V DC on a barrel jack or 4-pin connector, and the ADN171-CB-i3-N305 runs from -5 to 65 °C, so it belongs in indoor cabinets and equipment rooms. DFI lists CE, FCC, UKCA, RoHS and KC compliance, and supported operating systems are Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB, Windows 11 and Linux.
