DFI AL551-BN-N3350 Dual-Core Intel Celeron N3350 3.5″ Single Board Computer with Dual GbE and Triple Display

The AL551-BN-N3350 is the Celeron build in the DFI AL551 series of 3.5" single board computers, pairing the dual-core Intel Celeron N3350 at 6 W with triple display, two GbE ports, two COM ports and a 12 V DC input. It suits information displays, thin clients and simple terminals at 0 to 60 °C.

  • Triple Display: DP++ at up to 4096 x 2160, VGA and dual-channel 48-bit LVDS run three screens from one board.
  • Up to 8 GB DDR3L: One DDR3L 1866 MHz SO-DIMM slot of up to 8 GB, fitted to suit the application at build.
  • Six USB Ports: Two USB 3.1 Gen 1 and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports at the rear, plus two USB 2.0 on headers.
  • 12 V DC, 0 to 60 °C: 12 V DC on a 4-pin or barrel connector with fanless heatsink cooling, rated for 0 to 60 °C.

AL551-BN-N3350 Overview

Information displays, thin clients and simple data-entry terminals need dependable I/O and a clean display signal more than raw compute. The AL551-BN-N3350 is the Intel Celeron N3350 build in the DFI AL551 series of 3.5″ single board computers, giving those jobs the full triple-display, dual GbE and serial I/O of the series on a dual-core processor.

The Celeron N3350 (Apollo Lake) runs two cores at 1.1 GHz and bursts to 2.4 GHz within a 6 W TDP. One DDR3L 1866 MHz SO-DIMM slot takes up to 8 GB. Intel HD Graphics drives DP++ at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz, VGA at up to 2048 x 1536 and dual-channel 48-bit LVDS at up to 1920 x 1200, so one board can feed a built-in panel and two remote screens.

Two GbE ports on Intel I210AT controllers carry application and management traffic. Two RS-232/422/485 COM ports and an 8-bit DIO connect scanners, printers and indicator lamps. USB is two USB 3.1 Gen 1 and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports and two USB 2.0 on headers, for keyboards, touch controllers and card readers. An M.2 B-key (2242) takes an SSD, a full-size Mini PCIe socket takes Wi-Fi and one SATA port adds a drive.

The AL551-BN-N3350 runs from 12 V DC on a 4-pin or barrel connector, cooled by a fanless heatsink, and operates from 0 to 60 °C with firmware TPM 2.0 and CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance. For four cores at the same 6 W, AL551-BN-N4200 uses the Pentium N4200, and AL551-BN-E3930 is the dual-core Atom alternative.
